Some biographical information:
Dr. Arena attended the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine where he obtained his D.O. degree in 1999. He completed his psychiatry residency at New York Medical College at Westchester Medical Center in 2003 where he also served as Chief Resident.
He has received additional training in group psychotherapy and has been a certified group therapist since 2003.
Dr. Arena has served on the faculty of New York Medical College, the NYU School of Medicine, and he is currently on the faculty of the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine and is affiliated with Long Island Jewish Medical Center. He has received two Teacher of the Year Awards from North Shore University Hospital and an Outstanding Teacher Award from Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
He has been a recipient of the Award for Clinical Excellence from Westchester Medical Center in 2003 and he has been a five-time Patients’ Choice Award winner.
